How we Celebrated India’s win Over Pakistan in the Ongoing ODI Cricket World Cup
When it comes to cricket, I and my group of friends are diehard fans and never miss a match if it’s played in Mumbai. An India-Pakistan match is always special and this time we decided to enjoy it with great home-cooked food instead of watching it in a pub.
Honestly, we all felt that we can save a lot of money by avoiding the pub which is going to be important in the festive season. So, the first thing I did was to order fresh raw chicken home delivery Thane.
Since we were going to watch the match in my home as I recently bought a 42-inch HD TV just a couple of months back, it was left to me to organize the event.
I therefore placed the order for good old chicken curry cut from the most reliable online meat and fish store in Thane and they delivered it to my doorstep in minutes.
It was decided that we will have spicy and soupy chicken curry with plain steamed rice as the main course and top it with prawns pulao.
Keeping that in mind I also included fresh prawns delivery Thane from the same online store and got both the orders together. Needless to say that both the chicken and prawns were of top quality.
Will Pakistan break its World Cup jinx or will India make it 8-0?
We were all looking forward to a great match between two great teams which is dubbed as the greatest rivalry in international cricket but this match turned out to be quite one-sided in favour of India.
Of course, we were not complaining at all because we got more than what we bargained for – a crushing defeat for Pakistan.
Add to that the great food that we were having, which I made with the fresh raw chicken home delivery Thane that I had ordered in the morning. All of it blended wonderfully with the strokes played by the Indian batters and the wickets taken by the bowlers.
Every bite of the spicy and soupy chicken curry with the steaming white rice tasted even better than expected while we watched the performance of the Indian players.
The complimentary dish, prawns pulao cooked with grounded coconut, which I cooked with the fresh prawns delivery Thane that I had ordered with the chicken, tasted equally good.
The best part was that all the guests, who are all my close circle of friends, never tired of praising the food all throughout and even after the feast. Honestly, there cannot be a greater compliment for a host.
What exactly is soupy chicken curry and why is it special?
As the name suggests, this chicken curry has soupy gravy, which is not thick and greasy like most of the popular chicken preparations.
One needs to remember that this kind of curry only goes well with steamed white rice, preferably the long grain Basmati variety. There’s no restriction for those who want to try it with roti or parantha but this particular chicken curry is ideal with steamed white rice.
In fact, that’s what I had in mind when I ordered fresh raw chicken home delivery Thane. However, I also spoke to my friends whom I had invited and we all agreed that it’s been quite some time since we had this kind of chicken curry.
Everyone was looking forward to it and when it came on their plates, the good taste met our expectations and made it a memorable experience.
Would prawns pulao complement the chicken curry and rice?
I was a little doubtful about how well the prawns pulao would complement the soupy chicken curry and rice. Thankfully, one of my friends with a good sense of culinary variations suggested that the pulao will complement the soupy curry really well.
He said that the pulao could be made in South Indian style with a whole lot of spices and garnished with grounded coconut. This was obviously going to taste quite different and even the fragrance would be different.
Only after I heard this suggestion did I go ahead and order the prawns along with fresh raw chicken home delivery Thane.
It became apparent once I lifted the lid of the pan containing the prawns pulao. The beautiful fragrance of the varied spices and coconut along with the prawns was simply irresistible.
The pulao not just complemented the chicken curry and steamed white rice very well but it also revealed a new rice combination that was wholesome and of course tasted great. This was surely one of the best meals we had in a feast at home in a very long time and combined with the occasion of the world cup cricket match, it was simply too good. We rounded off the dinner with kesar ras malai before saying good night.
